The Alpha Phi Chapter met its yearlong goal during the 3rd and final day of the 167th General Convention. Having already been granted its charter, the Alpha Phi was awarded the Sisson and John Reily Knox Chapter Excellence Award.
Virginia Tech was just one of 9 chapters (out of 125) to win the overall chapter excellence award. This is the first ever Knox for the Alpha Phi and its the highest award that is granted from the General Fraternity to one of its chapters. This marks the first time in history any school in Virginia has won a Knox Award.
The Sisson award was granted to Virginia Tech for the 3rd time ever. The Alpha Phi was one of 51 chapters to win this award.
